The Situation
The Situation
Weatherford emerged from its 2019 restructuring with a shareholder base made up largely of its former bondholders. Its shares traded over the counter, no sell-side analyst covered the stock, and at the 2020 low the company's market value was under $200 million.
The job was to rebuild the shareholder base, the coverage and the listing so the market could see the business clearly.

The Pathway
A five-step framework designed to rebuild market trust and re-rating for public companies at a turning point.
01
From creditors to owners
Guided a register of former bondholders toward long-term ownership, with a deliberate targeting program that took long-only institutional ownership from under 10% to over 40% in three years.
02
The uplisting
Made the case for NASDAQ over the NYSE and helped lead the move from over-the-counter trading to a national exchange.
03
Coverage from zero
Led the analyst outreach that built sell-side coverage from zero to ten analysts.
04
On the road
Ran the roadshows, non-deal roadshows and conference program that put management in front of deep value investors, hedge funds and the largest long-only managers.
05
Returning capital
Designed the company's first shareholder return program: its inaugural buyback and dividend.
